A: At Fowler and Tidwell Counseling, we provide a wide range of therapeutic services designed to fit the unique needs of each client seeking support. Our team is carefully selected to bring varied expertise to the practice, ensuring that we can address the mental health concerns of Houston’s diverse population as well as clients throughout the state of Texas. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or other emotional difficulties, our counselors work collaboratively with you to create a personalized treatment plan. We are committed to offering compassionate, culturally sensitive care that respects individual backgrounds and promotes healing from distress toward a place of peace.

We offer a free 15 min consultation via phone call in order for you to ask questions and determine if the therapist is the right fit for you. If you find that it may not be, please let us know and we will schedule another consultation with a new therapist.

You will receive a link via text and email with a link to your appointment. You can use a phone, computer, or smart device to access your appointment, however the connection is most stable on your computer/laptop.

Normal sessions are 55 minutes for individual, family and couples sessions. If you would like longer sessions, insurance does not pay for the extended time, and you are required to pay out of pocket.

At Fowler and Tidwell Counseling, artificial intelligence is used strictly as an administrative and analytical resource to support our research, treatment planning, session documentation, teaching, and policy-making operations. All use of AI is protected using HIPAA compliance and contractual BAA for with any third party software.AI never replaces human clinical judgment or the direct work of our therapists. It does not conduct therapy sessions, make clinical decisions, or replace human connection. All patient care and clinical decisions remain 100% under the dedicated ownership and guidance of our licensed professionals.

If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment and/or you have not notified us at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay a $85 fee for therapists, $60 fee for LPC-Interns, or $30 fee for our Graduate Student Interns. We ask you to inform us at least 24 hours in advance if you are unable to make a scheduled appt or you will be charged the no show rate for individual, couples, family, or group sessions. The expectation of cancelling appointments at an appropriate time practices professionalism, allows staff to fill your reserved time, and creates boundaries for clinician’s time and dedication to the profession. Please understand your insurance does not reimburse for charges related to missed or late cancelled appointments.
